Abstract: Cross-cultural training has become an essential part of the continuous training and development worldwide, on accounts of the spread of globalisation; which resulted in different cultures working and integrating both in everyday life, as well as in the work environment. This research takes a look at the perceived importance of cross-cultural training by analysing view of people working with the local business community, such as hotels, taxi companies and restaurants. This study collects the perceptions of employees as well as owners and training managers, and explores the importance given - if any, to cross-cultural training. A better understanding of cross-cultural training may encourage training managers and also independent owners to re-think their training strategy and to implement this kind of training in the near-future.
