| Abstract: | On February 27, 1909, Alfred Christian, the manager and owner of an English bank, appeared before the Court of Judicial Police charged with having, at Valletta, repeatedly committed acts that offend morals and modesty in a place exposed to public view. The charge, however, did not include details regarding the dates, time, place or the real nature of the offence. |
