Researching governance, politics and public affairs from a Maltese perspective

Abstract

The three main ambitions for this book are to satisfy emerging requests for a well-informed and diversified overview of governance and public affairs management in a Europeanised Malta, to contribute towards a better understanding of how historical, sociological, cultural, political and economic elements are fused together in shaping Maltese politics, and to set out directions for further research which could be eventually probed by our growing community of scholars specialising in public policy. These three ambitions fall in line with the raison d’etre of the Department of Public Policy at the University of Malta.
