| Abstract: | These programmes convey the historical, social and cultural feeling of the Our Lady of the Lilies feast in Mqabba. It traces the historical development of this feast which originated from the Confraternity of the Immaculate Conception erected in Mqabba in 1772. The feasts date back to that time and was further promoted with the commissioning of a statue in 1876 and the setting up of the social club Circolo Pio X at the beginning of the Twentieth Century. |
