Abstract: The aim of this study is to explore the nursing students' knowledge on fertility awareness. Differences between gender and year of study are analysed with regards to fertility awareness. The study was conducted among 11 female and one male first year students and 11 females and two males second year students. Data was obtained by means of a questionnaire, consisting of various variables. Data analysis resulted in significant difference in knowledge between first and second year students. The main findings suggest that during their second year of studies, students learn more about fertility. The students deem that fertility awareness is essential in their line of work.
