Abstract: This work involved the design and implementation of a procedure that uses Web 2.0 mediated processes within the Intermediate Physics course to aid in students’ conceptualisation of Physics concepts, whilst overcoming limitations that are found within the setting. Whilst it is shown that the use of Web 2.0 technologies has a place in such an educational settings and can successfully enhance conceptualisation and fortify what is done in traditional methodologies, success may also be dependent on the conscious attitudes that participants embrace. Web 2.0 technologies as used in this study did not affect the students’ general view of the subject, where it is seen of less importance than their Advanced level subjects, subsequently offering resistance to using a deep learning approach.
