The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of emerging technologies in health care. The ever evolving utilisation of technologies in our daily lives is changing the way the health care industry operates. By analysing the current factors and concerns which may hold back from implementing emerging technologies in health care, an in depth research was conducted to identify the benefits and methods of emerging technologies which are used today in order to tackle any concerns and enhance the overall quality of health care in Malta. This in depth research was done as a result of realising the concerns and benefits through academic and scholastic sources which were then discussed by means of semi-structured interviews with participants who work in the health care sector. Once the semi structured interviews were completed, the results were analysed in order to produce a detailed discussion of the findings. From the findings, it was noted that all participants are aware of the emerging technologies being regularly implemented in their workplace. The participants responded positively to utilising certain emerging technologies daily and there are minimal worries with regards to the concerns researched throughout the thesis regarding emerging technologies. Moreover, the participants stated that they expect more benefits and look forward to work in a high standard health care sector through the use of emerging technologies. This implies that participants are eager to work with further advancement in technologies in order to improve their work experience and especially patient health outcomes.en_GB
