Abstract: The results for the Religion., Maltese and Social Studies of a sample of students from various schools were obtained. The Religion Marks (Part I) i.e. multiple Choice questions were correlated with the marks of the Multiple Choice questions of the Social Studies Papers - Form I to IV. The Religion marks (Part II) i.e. the u questions requiring an essay writing were correlated with the marks of the essay of the Maltese Papers for Form I to IV. The use of a scattergram to calculate the Pearson "r". From the results obtained, it is clear that students must be good in Maltese to do well in Religion, Essay Section; thus testing more the medium then the content of the subject. Relevant information, that is distribution of marks in the three papers by sex, as well as the histograms and the percentile ranks, is tabulated and. illustrated, in the second. section of this dissertation.
