The 1990 Maltese boys' trade schools student entry : a follow-up study

Abstract

This is a follow-up study of the students who entered the Trade School in the scholastic year 1990/91. The students' progression from the Basic Year to the Second, Third, and Fourth Year are considered. The students' eventual occupation and its relevance to the trade studied at school are examined. In this study an account of all the transfers that occurred and the number of students who terminated their studies before the end of the course is given. This follow-up study shows that, of the 997 students who enrolled as Trade School students, 196 have completed the four-year course and 62 of these joined the E.S.T.S.
