Abstract: This dissertation explored positive and negative aspects of involving persons having physical disabilities in physical education. The purpose of this study is to provide practical, as well as philosophical and psychological bases, for including children with physical disability in community leisure services and in physical education. Society, can no longer afford to exclude such persons from programmes of physical education, and therefore, educators and families must work toward total accessibility. Eventually, this should lead to full participation through the structuring and restructuring of recreational environments and activities.
