Abstract: I am here proposing samples of texts all related to films (cineracconto), all taken from Italian magazines. The exercises based on each text are intended to develop in the students of Italian, comprehension and decodification strategies of a text. The work is based on the concept that the learner undertaking such work will move towards a more profound understanding of the target language, by exploring language aspects. Reading is a process by which the students arrive at a global comprehension of what is being read, rather than understanding every single element present in the text. Students will thus learn through a series of exercises which enable them to understand more as they proceed from one exercise to the other. The exercises are divided into three sections. In the first section, exercises are based on general questions. In the second section the exercises analyse various aspects of the language; whilst in the third section the exercises deal with the verification and comprehension control.
