Abstract: The folkloristic culture is one of the cultural sectors in Malta that has not been completely studied in all of its aspects. The objectives and intentions of this thesis are to motivate interest and appreciation together with a proactive vision on the Maltese folklor in 11 and 12 year old students (Form 1 students in the Secondary level). This is done with the help of methodology based on audio-vision resources and interactivity within the class, whilst the students are exposed to different aspects of the Maltese folklore. I prepared a pack with six lesson plans with the resources, aimed for Form 1 Secondary students. These are aimed as a guide to teachers, who will then amend the lesson plans according to their students. I found that interactivity during lessons is important because in this way the students participated and formed part of the learning process. The resources formed an important part in helping the students understand better and easier, have a brought image of their surroundings, and remember quite well what has been done during the lesson. Most students are interested in their culture, however it is hard for them to find place for appreciation around them.
