Abstract

The aim of this dissertation is that of showing the importance of Ħitan by Francis Ebejer, the authenticity of the historical facts and their effects. and the perennial modernity of the problems of the ethnic minorities. Historical facts regarding the racial philosophy of Adolf Hitler and of his contemporary philosophers who were instrumental in the spreading of racial prejudice and hatred, were discussed to serve as a background to the traumatic experience. persecution complex and guilt of the Nannu. The psychological and social effects of these experiences on the different characters were thus analysed to show how the "walls" were built throughout the years and how they were eventually destroyed.
