Abstract: Research about discipline in primary schools has been ongoing for many years. This study shall further focus on the use of classroom management through discipline. This study shall make school personnel and parents more aware about the term 'discipline' as well as aid teachers in making use of positive classroom discipline by helping them how to deal with misbehaviour when this is experienced in the classroom. A quantitative research methodology was used as a means of obtaining the data from teachers teaching Year 2 and Year 5 classes. All the participants who responded the questionnaire, aging between 25 and 60 years, were currently teaching in the primary years. Moreover, this study will compare the relevance of different disciplinary techniques with the age of both the teacher and the student.
