Abstract: This study sets out to analyze the cultural attitudes in Gozo in relation to women, focusing on barries which exclude them from actively engaging in employment and training. The research is qualitative in nature involving amongst others, interviews with 20 Gozitan women following a training programme. The main focus of this research was to critically evaluate the current adult education provision offered by the Employment and Training Corporation, namely its claim of equal access as well as the nature of the courses on offer. Furthermore, the study also examines the possibility of including a feminist perspective in labour market training in order to help female participants question and challenge discriminatory practices and to take control of their lives through collective action. The dissertation concludes by making recommendations that could be implemented within society to ensure women's equal access to all of its dimensions.
