Abstract: The seed for the cult of St Philip Neri in Qrendi, which reaches its peak in the recently-restored statue, was sown in 1878 by parish priest Fr Pietro Paolo Xuereb when he established the Confraternity of the Virgin of Lourdes in the same locality. The statue is now conserved and restored.
