| Abstract: | This paper rounds up the present situation in Malta regarding hearing disability in children. It summarises recent research findings on incidence, age at identification, provision of hearing aids and rehabilitation facilities. A history of the educational provision in Malta is also highlighted. An evaluation of the recent local developments is included while suggestions for future strategies are put forward. |
