Abstract: | The Housing Topic Paper is one of the many documents which constitute the draft documents as part of the preparation for the new MEP A Structure Plan which is to follow the 1992 version. The Structure Plan for the Maltese Islands is a widely used document in Malta since it constitutes a reference for anything that has to do with planning such as building, urban and rural environment, transport, housing, rehabilitation, health, education, commerce and industry, agriculture, minerals, conservation. This glossary aims at gathering the most important terminology in the Structure Plan and afterwards providing the context, a very short definition of each as well as a proposed translation for each term. Therefore, this glossary would constitute further reference in the Maltese planning industry which further highlights the original aim of The Structure Plan itself, that is, being the point of reference in the planning sector. It will also be possibly leading to an easier translation of any other document related to this field. |
