Abstract: To better appreciate the value of primacy of a significant number of aspects of the architectural and construction techniques of the Maltese megalithic temples, it is necessary to picture the prehistoric culture that has been produced, in a chronological order of the Mediterranean prehistory. And to achieve this goal it would be appropriate to go back to the beginning of the literature that dealt with these mysteries constructions and rapidly follow the evolution, in order to better understand how one got to the present timeline scheme
