Abstract: The following study encompasses a research on the effect of the Mass Media on AIDS awareness campaigns. The campaigns taken into consideration are campaigns across Western Europe, dealing with condom use and/or fewer partners; such a dilemma was a topic of hot debate in Malta last December 1998. A study that aims to discover awareness among University students about AIDS as well as their preferred media follows; this information will be useful for future campaigns as campaign organizers will know more how to specifically target this part of the population. The conclusion will round up the study by describing what should be done locally so as to increase AIDS awareness.
