Abstract: It seems to be common knowledge that individuals are born creative rather than trained to pursue this lateral mindset. This notion was not challenged until the internet surfaced along with its open access to information, which in turn created the need of creatives and novel ideas in the competitive sector. The creative economy rapidly took off in the eighties with a work force that performed in the spaces that were used by the outdated intellectuals. (Anon., 2013) This research led to this monograph which aspires to understand the possibility of designing for the creative mind set and how it's done. In order to understand the happening of creative thinking, Prof. Edward de Bono's writings are investigated with this respect in attempt to elicit a set of design parameters for creative thinking that can be effectively applied to a space.
