Abstract: This research is set out to determine whether game design and technology can embellish the architectural practice. Nowadays, every architectural project makes use of virtual reality and digital tools, in both design process and final presentations. Given the extensive use of virtual reality, this dissertation goes on to analyse another field that is equally dependent on virtual reality. In its core the video game industry aims to provide entertaining, emotive, and interactive narratives in cyberspace. A deeper understanding was required to get a hold of the field's underlying principles, techniques, phenomenological aspects, and the technological support at its disposal. This investigation led to the realization that design and architecture share similar objectives and work flows. Under such complimentary conditions it becomes a natural possibility that with the help of game design, architecture can evolve: the influences of which, can already be felt today, and will surely create a new definition or architecture in the near future.
