Abstract: The Maltese Band Club is one of more recognizable elements of our cultural landscape and can be found in most of our towns and villages. The societies that they house are a crucial part of our village feast and are for the most part very successful spaces. This study aims to see the band clubs across Malta in order to see whether a typology exists and whether any trends of this typology exist. By viewing this against the background of its historical emergence and development, one can also understand better whatever result is produced. This should provide a vital part in understanding how architecture helped the formation of one of our most visible cultural organizations and vice-versa.
