Abstract: As the title suggests the objective of this study is to find out if there is a relationship between work and leisure. This project focuses on how students from the Faculty of Arts define leisure, how they utilise their leisure time, and with what objective. A theoretical background on leisure was provided. Another chapter analysed the different leisure activities pursued in the Maltese context. To achieve this, qualitative and quantitative methodology was used. The mam methods employed in this research were the diary-surveys and in-dept interviews. The diary-surveys were used to gather some statistical data with the help of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and then the interviews were used to study the reasons behind the pursuit of certain leisure activities. Two methods were used to grasp a better picture of the leisure activities of B.A students.
