Abstract: The aim of this dissertation is to determine whether the Islamic Community in Malta is integrated or isolated within the rest of the Maltese society, whose majority are Roman Catholics. The five institutions tackled in this dissertation are the family, place of work, educational system, leisure and the local community. Interviews were conducted with four categories of individuals. These included, Maltese Muslims, Foreign Muslims, Maltese Roman Catholics, and also mixed marriages between Muslims and Roman Catholics.
