Abstract: ▪ The datasheet aims at the reliability assessment of structures which are components of significant constructions, e.g. bridges, power stations, historic valuable buildings and life lines. For those structures, the reliability has to be quantified with the aid of nonlinear structural analysis and uncertainty measures like the failure probability. However, the uncertainty of the material parameters the geometry as well as of the earthquake excitation results from aleatory and epistemic sources. In order to consider both aleatory and epistemic uncertainty appropriately, the reliability is assessed by means of the generalised uncertainty measure fuzzy failure probability computed with a time-dependent fuzzy stochastic analysis.
▪ Fuzzy stochastic tools are proposed for structural analysis and reliability assessment. The uncertain character of both earthquake recording and structural system behaviour is considered within a response history procedure.
