Abstract: This study involves an in-depth comparative analysis of the two main approaches of Philosophy for Children; namely The American and the European Approach. Additionally, the study includes an analysis of various strategies of the different books and textbooks used for the different approaches. Finally, the most suitable approach for the Maltese educational system shall be verified. The final conclusion is that the best approach to Malta would be the integration of philosophy in a cross-curricular manner, whilst furthermore adopting it as an attitude in the running of the schools.
