Abstract: The Holy Spirit who is our Paraclete is the Lord and Giver of Life. He is God's Gift to the Church. The Spirit of God is ever present in the actions of the Church also through the Sacraments. In this research, a collective view of theological reflection shall be first directed to the Early Church Father's teachings and doctrines, concerning the relationship of the Holy Spirit to the Sacraments of Initiation. He who searches the depths of God, brings about the new life of Grace through the reception of these Sacraments. In the second chapter, a close examination of the liturgical texts shall be the subject of scrutiny with the intention of gaining a deeper appreciation of the gentle and hidden presence of God's Spirit in the liturgy of these Sacraments. The concluding chapter shall present different Church documents, namely some of the teachings of the Magisterium of the Church, with the purpose of gaining further understanding of the hidden treasures available in the Sacraments of Initiation through the all-powerful and benevolent intervention of the Spirit of God.
