Abstract: Quality of life from a geographical perspective concerns spatial relations and development in urban areas, and the effect they have on the people living in these areas. Planning policy and design has the potential to contribute towards the enhancement of the quality of life of the community. In other words, it provides the tools for the exploitation of scientific and technological advance for the betterment of human existence. Quality of life of two different villages in Malta is compared by giving an overview of the urban fabric and assessing accessibility, environment, and health through objective and perceptual indicators.
