| Abstract: | In my study I have tried to identify the Christian layman and his mission and vocation in the Church. Likewise, the mission and vocation of Mary and her secular character is discussed and the position of Mary as the figure to today's layman is brought out. Mary has much to offer to the Christian as guidance for the righteous way of living. She is seen as the model always present in the Church. I must make it clear that when I refer to Layman, I intend to mean Lay Person, including both man and woman. |
