| Abstract: | This book is the collaborative effort of Dr Sammut and local acclaimed artist Anthony Calleja. 'Living with Mental Illness' aims to portray the difficulties, challenges, joys, and pains of those who have encountered mental illness, but also empower those same individuals to actively speak up and seek the necessary support. This collaboration aims to increase mental health awareness and literacy using Art. The opening of the exhibition and book launch was held on 7 April 2019 at Giardini Lambrosa under the patronage of President Emeritus, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, who also contributed the foreword of the book. |
