| dc.description.abstract | La definizione della cronologia delle necropoli del media bronzo in area siracusana passa attraverso la possibilita di proporre una seriazione crono-tipologica per la ceramica della facies di Thapsos. Questa aspetto a piu di un secolo di distanza dalle ricerche orsiane nelle comprensorio in esame non e stato affronrato nel suo complesso, ad eccezione di una delle forme tipiche come il bacino lebetiforme su alto piede 1 . Tale stato degli studi si e protratto nonostante le acquisizioni sulla media eta del bronzo nell' area in questione si siano accresciute grazie alle ricerche compiute in altri lembi di necropoli nel sito eponimo negli anni '50 e '60 del '900 2 ed alle importanti scoperte effettuate di nuovo in quel sepolcreto ma anche, e soprattutto, nell'abitato del centro di Thapsos tra la fine degli anni '60 e gli anni '70 '80 del secolo scorso.
