dc.description.abstract | Since man appeared on planet Earth, tools have been used on a daily basis for the sake of survival. The human body has evolved in a way that it has become physically weaker than other animals’, and thus we learned to depend on tools to do things that we physically cannot do. Nowadays we take such things as using a cellphone, or a laptop, or even something as simple as a pen for granted, so much so that we sometimes do not realise that we are using them. They help us become something more, transcending the state of being human, that is Transhumanism. In this dissertation I will attempt to show a deeper meaning of what Transhumanism is and attempt to differentiate between transhuman and human, taking into consideration the pros and cons, with the aid of a very powerful medium - Film. | en_GB |
