Abstract: In this dissertation on the Nature of Christ's Redemption I intend to outline and examine different models of Christ's Redemption. I shall first point out and try to throw light on the fact that mankind from the beginning has felt the need of a special divine intervention in order to be freed from all that is evil, negative and depressing in life. In spite of his efforts to free himself from suffering and from unfavourable situations, man felt helpless and realized that his negative situation could only be changed through a Divine Redeemer. Subsequently, I shall go through and examine some of the biblical terms and expressions referring to Christ's Redemption. These terms and references which throw light on the Redemptive work of our Lord Jesus Christ are especially to be found in the New Testament writings. These will lead us to a conclusion that Jesus Christ is alone the Redeemer and Saviour of mankind. Also a close look at some of these terms will help us in our present time to understand somewhat the nature of Christ's Redemptive work and how it applies to us Christians and to all mankind today [...].
