Abstract: Mathematics can be defined as the study of numbers and is the oldest scientific subject known to man. This subject is so powerful that its applications are practically infinite. One of the greatest achievements of Mathematicians in the 20th century was the creation of a new scientific subject – The Computer Science. Nowadays it is imperative for everyone to have a basic understanding of Mathematics. This is because Mathematics is used continuously in everyday life. This book can be used by form 4 and 5 students who are preparing for their O-levels. In fact the book covers the vast majority of the MATSEC O-level syllabus (of paper A and B).
