Abstract: Wireless is becoming more and more popular. At the present time, wireless and mobile communications technologies are the most important areas which are rapidly expanding. The fascination of mobility, accessibility and flexibility makes wireless technologies the dominant method of transferring all sorts of information. The most common wireless technology is the Wi-Fi. The aim of this project was to build a machine to be controlled by a human operator from a distance over some form of a communication link and retrieving video streaming. This communication was done through Wi-Fi by means of a wireless router. Subsequently the wireless router, communicated with a microcontroller through serial communication which was embedded in the car, and which in return controlled the servo and DC motor of the car. A network camera was also mounted at the front of the car and connected the router to provide the user real-time vision of the car whereabouts.
