Abstract: As part of the follow-up of minimally invasive endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) of the infrarenal aorta, contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) is a promising new method for the diagnosis and follow-up of endoleaks. This new method allows a more rapid and non-invasive diagnosis of endoleaks in the follow-up after EVAR. This review describes the etiology of endoleaks and their classification using CEUS and illustrates the principles of new imaging techniques, such as ultrasound image fusion with computed tomography (CT) in the diagnosis of type II endoleaks and their follow-up after intervention.
