Abstract: The purpose of this Report was to describe the way Longwell Green Primary School is organized and administered. This observation was subsequently evaluated in the light of educational theories about primary education and the multiple roles of the effective Head of School. The principal characteristics and leadership style of the head of the school under study were analyzed while the school ethos, curriculum and pedagogical methods were described in detail. Parental involvement and professional development were discussed. In the final chapter points of comparison and/or contact between Longwell Green Primary School and a local school were presented. The aim of the Appendices was to set out information and literature handed out by the school to reinforce important aspects of school curriculum and policies referred to in the Report. The short duration of the visit, namely two weeks, is in our opinion the outstanding limitation in our Report. Longwell Green Primary School had a great deal to offer.
