Abstract: Inclusivity is nowadays being seriously addressed in the Maltese education system. In a few words, inclusivity implies that equal opportunities will be given to students with special needs to ensure that their full potential is realised. The possibilities to enable students to make the most of the curriculum include the availability of libraries, libraries which are stocked with a variety of resources to support teaching and learning. In this long assignment, I intend to study the libraries or resource centres in the respective special needs schools and also the level or use being made of the material available to both students and teachers. To ensure that I have current information, I intend to carry out interviews with heads and teachers, as well as questionnaires to access the potential of the libraries in question. This research will also be substantiated by a literature review on the subject.
