| Abstract: | The first step was to identify what is meant by 'prayer', emphasizing mostly on those aspects of prayer that are relevant to a classroom situation. Education in prayer - what it is and how much of this education in prayer should pupils in the Sixth Year of the Primary School be actually getting. Proposals on this type of education and how to make it work in class are offered. Finally, a survey through a questionnaire, given to all Year Six Teachers of Religion in Church Schools on the amount and type of education in prayer that is in reality being offered. Evaluation and concluding remarks. |
