Abstract: In this essay an overview of 'Factors Contributing to the Long-Term Unemployment Among Young People' is presented with their advantages and drawbacks. In particular the advantages of 'policies makers' and drawbacks of no jobs available to young people and economic factor. I have concentrated on a specific target group: the long-term unemployed young persons registered unemployed between 18 and 25 years of age - males and females that are registering for employment for more than one year. As the long-term unemployed are the main targets of this study, this essay will attempt to understand the general problems and factors contributing to the long term unemployment among young people.
