Abstract: The aim of this study was to make a risk assessment of two main work activities of a telecommunications company namely Wirenet Ltd, a subsidiary of Maltacom plc and analyze whether any control measures can be implemented to control the risks further. Two onsite observation visits were done with the subway technicians and linesmen of Maltacom plc in order to make two separate risk assessments so as to have a snap shot of the hazards and risks that these employees face themselves with in their daily job routine. Overall analyses of risk assessments clearly show that certain control measures, if not all, were taken by the employees of Wirenet Ltd. in order to reduce if not eliminate the risks at source. Thus it is vital that a Risk Assessment is done prior the commencement of work so as to eliminate and/or reduce to the minimum all the possible hazards and risks. Moreover, risk assessment should also be reviewed when necessary.
