Citation: Livori, K. (2005). Discipleship in Mark's Gospel : from unbelief to rejection (Diploma long essay).
Abstract: In this essay I will develop the theme of the disciples' unbelief as presented in the Gospel of Mark. I will focus mainly on those passages in which the disciples seem to be moving from misperception to misconception with regards to the teachings of Jesus until finally they all reject Him. The force of the arguments will be better appreciated when we compare this material with Matthew' s presentation. In doing so I will try to show the reason why Mark is treating the disciples in this way. As we go along I will present different positions of different Biblical Scholars regarding this theme.
