HyDi is your one stop search gateway to both print and online Library resources.

From a single search one can discover books and dissertations held in the Library, as well as full-text online journal articles and other information resources.

All results can be refined by resource type, publication date, topic and authors. HyDi also suggests new searches by providing you with related keywords on the subject.

One can search for print journals through HyDi.

RefWorks is a bibliographic management software that allows University of Malta registered users to create a database of references by importing citations for books, articles from online databases (such as JSTOR, PsycInfo, IEEE and others) and the Library’s Online Catalogue. The references can then be used for creating bibliographies for dissertations, long essays, papers and assignments. RefWorks allows users to produce bibliographies formatted in any of the major bibliographic styles (such as APA, MLA, Chicago etc.).

In order to use RefWorks, you must log in with your UM IT Account.

OAR@UM (Institutional Repository)

OAR@UM is the UM's institutional repository (IR) and is managed by the UM Library. It is an online archive that collects, preserves and disseminates the intellectual output of the University. Subsequently, it is a vital tool for scholarly communication, preservation of knowledge and an important resource to enhance the visibility of the research carried out at the UM.

Maltese Journals available in Open Access

Most scientific journals published locally are being published by UM academics within the various Faculties, Institutes, Centres and Schools.  These journals are currently being uploaded in the UM institutional repository, OAR@UM and made available in Open Access.  The complete list can be found here
