Length

Undergraduate dissertations are normally around 12,000 to 15,000 words long. Note, however, that as far as assessment is concerned, length is subordinate to quality.

Language 

IoL dissertations are normally written in English. The University regulations only permit an alteration of this procedure under special circumstances.

Style 

We recommend using the formatting guidelines of the American Psychological Association (APA). These are very well documented. 

Plagiarism 

Plagiarism is not tolerated in any shape or form. If in doubt, consult our plagiarism guidelines.
