Guidelines for submission of assignments

Students submitting assignments at the Faculty of Media and Knowledge Sciences should adhere to the following guidelines:

 

 

1.  Students’ work should be submitted at the Student Helpdesk (Room 305) during the following opening hours, unless otherwise instructed by your lecturer:

 

Monday to Friday

 

1 October - 15 June

 

 

 

 

09:30 - 12:30

14:30 - 16:30 

 

16 June - 30 September*09:30 - 12:30


 

2.       Students are encouraged to submit their work as early as possible in order to avoid last minute problems.

 

3.       The cover page of all assignments should have the submission code number provided by the Lecturer.

 

4.       It is important that all the material belonging to the same work is enclosed safely in one sealed folder, envelope or bag, with  the  cover sheet clearly visible with the details as shown below:

 

i.  Student Identity Card Number, (For Visiting or International Students list the University of Malta (or Library Card) Student Reference Number).

ii.  Full Name

  iii. Study-unit Code and Title (eg: DGA2007 Illustration and Visual Narrative)

   iv. Submission code

 

5.      In case a particular submission cannot be enclosed in one envelope/bag, each Part must be correctly labelled as described in 4    above  and the Part number included:

   E.g. 123456M, Borg Joseph, DGA2007, 00654, Part 1 of x.

 

6.  On submission of their work students will be given a receipt.  This receipt is to be kept in a safe place as it is proof of submission  of the work.

 

7.      One week after the publication of results marked assignments may be collected from the Student Helpdesk.

 

8.   A short time after the publication of results, the Faculty organizes an assignment collection week during which students are advised that their marked assignments are ready for collection. Any work not collected within this period will be disposed of.

 

 

ASSIGNMENTS ARE TO BE HANDED IN ONLY AT THE STUDENTS' HELPDESK.  IN THE EVENTUALITY THAT THIS PROCEDURE IS NOT ADHERED TO, ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE DISPOSED OF.

 

 

 

 

*Students Helpdesk (Room 305) will be closed from 16th July to 31st August. For any urgent matters email on info.maks@um.edu.mt
