Research Reports
UOM Main Page

The MATSEC Support Unit continuously aims to improve its practice.  One way of doing so is through continuous analysis of current practice.  In this page one can find some reports following research conducted by the MATSEC Support Unit.

In addition, the MATSEC Support Unit provides information and resources (as long as this does not breach candidates' anonymity) for researchers/students to pursue their studies.  Below is a list of some works:

  • Mizzi, M. (2018). Investigating students' performance in physics qualitative and quantitative questions.  Unpublished B.Ed (Honours) dissertation.  University of Malta.
  • Sant, R. M. (2018).  Analysis of student performance in chemistry calculations in the SEC May 2016 examination. Unpublished B.Ed (Honours) dissertation.  University of Malta.
  • Schembri, C. M. (2016). Analizi tal-Izbalji Ortografici li saru fl-Ezami tal-Matrikola tal-Malti fil-livell Avvanzat. Unpublished B.A. (Honours) dissertation. University of Malta.

2018 Examination Statistics for Main, First, Second, and Supplementary Sessions

MATSEC thanks the 1,594 candidates who provided feedback through MATSEC's 2018 post-examination survey.  Responses were analysed.  A report will be published in due time.
