MEDAC ALUMNI ASSOCIATION AMBASSADORIAL TALK

-          A new era after the fall of the Berlin Wall: Challenges for Germany’s foreign policy –

On March 17th the MEDAC Alumni Association organised its Annual Ambassadorial Lecture for 2015.

The speaker at this event was the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Malta H.E. Mr Klaus-Peter Brandes who delivered an address on developments in German foreign policy since the end of the Cold War.  Ambassador Brandes highlighted the changes in international relations in recent years and the resulting transformation of the German foreign policy. In concluding his address, the German Ambassador also spoke about the newly launched review of the German foreign policy and how the review sought to meet the challenges faced by Germany today. Following the lecture, Ambassador Brandes answered questions from the audience which consisted of a large number of MEDAC alumni and students. A small reception concluded the event during which the Ambassador spoke informally with MEDAC alumni.
