Visit by the Hon. Carmelo Abela, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion

MEDAC was honoured to host Hon. Carmelo Abela, minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion on 6 November, 2017.  This was Minister Abela’s first visit to MEDAC.  Minister Abela was welcomed at the foyer of the Academy by Professor Stephen Calleya, MEDAC Director and the Board of Administrators which included newly appointed Professor Godfrey Pirotta and Mr. Anthony Vella Gregory.  He also met with the academic staff of MEDAC.

 
The Minister’s keynote address to MEDAC students focused on the theme “The Current Strategic Priorities of Malta’s Foreign Policy”.  MEDAC students had the privilege of fielding questions to the Minister on a number of interesting themes.  The Minister also met and greeted all the students on an individual basis.

Scholarships MA Diplomatic Studies for 3rd country Nationals (non-EU/non-EEA)

Candidates applying for the Master of Arts in Diplomatic Studies will be considered for a scholarship offered by the University of Malta. The scholarship waives the University of Malta tuition fee to deserving students.

How to apply? Applicants are to apply through the online facility on the University of Malta website at www.um.edu.mt. The scholarship request is to be submitted following the receipt of a letter of acceptance for commencement in 2018. Scholarship applicants are to send an email to the International Office at international@um.edu.mt with the Applicant ID and 'University of Malta Application' in subject line. Applicants are to attach the following documents to the email: their Curriculum Vitae and a motivational letter.
