On Tuesday 16 September 2023, H.E. Amira Afrovic-Harms, non-resident Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to The Republic of Malta, paid a courtesy visit to the University of Malta, where she was greeted by Rector, Prof. Alfred J. Vella, Pro-Rector for International Development & Quality Assurance, Prof. Frank Bezzina and Deputy Director, International Office, Victoria Gauci at the Rector’s Office. H.E. Afrovic-Harms was accompanied by H.E. Prof. Lino Bianco, Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Professor of Architecture at the Faculty for the Built Environment, University of Malta.
During the meeting there was the opportunity to discuss initiated collaborations with Bosnia and Herzegovina Higher Education Institutions, particularly the University of Sarajevo and the University of East Sarajevo with the Faculty of the Built Environment and have discussed expanding collaborations in other areas such as Education and other areas of mutual interest.
Both sides expressed an interest to expand collaborations between the two countries in the area of Higher Education.
After the meeting, H.E. Afrovic-Harms visited the University of Malta Library where she was greeted by the Director Library Services Kevin J. Ellul.
